Well shucks... I almost forgot about this thing. I think stopped blogging because two things happened. The first was that blogging started to feel a little too narcissistic and chore-like. The second is that Wrennie happened.
Miss Wrennie Roo Doo. She is sheer joy to all of us. She is my redemption (more on that later). But she is not a good sleeper. I was not prepared for the toll that lack of sleep would take on just about every aspect of my life. Perhaps because I am older or maybe her sister was just an "easier baby". Or maybe it is just that two is so much more work than one. In any case, I stopped.
Then I saw this clip about Gretchen Rubin. She is the author of The Happiness Project...(I know...I know...self-help books ...groan). In the clip she describes what inspired her to start her blog and eventually write a book. She spoke of the mundane tasks that she encountered day to day such as riding the bus to get her daughter to school. She said, "The days are long but the years are short". That struck me something fierce. Just looking back over my old posts it occurred to me that so much has changed in a year's time. Namely my kids.
So, I blog for you, my sweet little girls...maybe one day you will see this and confirm your suspicion that your mother loves you. Even more than words can say. ♥
